Erma Louise Gebhart

GEBHART, Erma Louise, age 98, of Centerville, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022. Erma was born on March 8, 1923 in Centerville, OH to the late Wilbert and Edna (McCullough) Lucas. She was a member of Living Waters Lutheran Church, The Centerville Historical Society, and The Senior Center at Centerville. Erma was the fourth generation in her family to graduate from Centerville High School. She was a strong woman who grew up on a farm and was a part of the “greatest generation”. Erma was a devoted homemaker and talented seamstress who made sturdy braid rugs, wedding/prom dresses, and re-upholstered furniture. She enjoyed motherhood and was always active in her children’s lives and activities.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Bob Gebhart; son, Jack Gebhart; and grandson, Jimmy Gebhart. She is survived by her sister, Pauline Griffith; children, Cindy (Tom) Rossiter, Douglas (Gabriele) Gebhart; grandchildren, Shannon (Michael) Ferguson, Jenna Rossiter, Kenneth (Susan) Smith, Megan (Drake) Johnson, Nikki (Jared) Solana, Molly (Jeff) Hollis; great-grandchildren, Cassidy (Derrick) Bailey, J.J. Hollis, Ben Hollis, Emma Lynn Solana, Ellison Johnson, Ashlyn and Emmi Ferguson; and great-great-grandchild, June Bailey.

Family will greet friends from 10:00am-11:00am Saturday February 12 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N Main St, Centerville, with Funeral Services at 11:00am. Burial in Centerville Cemetery.
