TURNER, James Kinner, formerly of Beavercreek, died March 15, 2016 at the age of 92.
He was a World War II Veteran, former POW, and received two purple hearts.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Blanche, of 66 years.
After retiring from Stengers Ford, they enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Ft. Myers, FL. He enjoyed writing and playing music with his "Strenger's Ford Buddies".
He is survived by a loving and devoted daughter, Judy DeDario and her husband Jim, of Centerville, OH, two grandsons and their wives, Jon and Karen DeDario of Grand Rapids, MI, and Jason and Emily DeDario of Kettering, OH. Seven great-grandchildren: Kyle, Justin, Elizabeth, Kennedy, Lance, Reese and Brooks. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
We want to thank Pastor Tori Powers-Smith, and special friends at Hope UM Church. We also wish to express our appreciation to Brookdale of Washington Twp., and Brookdale Hospice for their excellent care, kindness and compassion.
A visitation will be at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH on March 21, 2016 from 10:30am-12:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm at the funeral home with a reception immediately following until 2:30pm. The burial will be in VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brookdale Hospice, 280 Walden Way, Dayton, OH 45440, Hope Church Helping Hand, 5980 Wilmington Pike Sugarcreek Township, OH 45459 or the charity of your choice.
