Josephine J. Wright

WRIGHT, Josephine J., age 89, of Kettering passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013. She was born on March 14, 1923 in Lore City, OH to the late John and Mary (Polasky) Bindas. Josephine graduated Lore City High School in 1940 then later went to Cambridge Business School. S he is a founding member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and was active in their Women's Club during the 60's and 70's. Jo was also very active in the campaign to convert Van Buren Township to the City of Kettering. In 1972 she was chosen as one of the Top Ten Women of the Dayton area. Also in 1972, she went back to work and became a sales person and sales manager for the Yellow Pages. Jo loved cooking and baking various Czechoslovakian dishes for her family. Preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Jo Schuster; and 4 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Robert; children, William (Linda) Wright of San Jose, CA, Tina (Janet Mosley) Wright of Kansas City, MO, Myra (Jimmy) Aubuchon of St. Louis, MO, Robert (Elizabeth) Wright of Denver, CO, John (Kathleen) Wright of Cincinnati, OH, Joseph (Jennifer) Wright of Columbus, OH; 1 brother and 2 sisters; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering. Burial in David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of your choice.
