Rose Marie Wildermuth

January 25, 1938 — January 4, 2023

Rose Marie "Rosie" Wildermuth of Dayton Ohio, age 84, passed peacefully in her sleep at Vienna Springs Health Campus in Miami Township on January 4, 2023. Rose was born on January 25, 1938, daughter of her late parents Angelo Lombardo and Mary Belle (Moody) Lombardo.


She grew up in Dayton and Centerville and attended St Agnes Catholic School for her primary education and is a graduate of Centerville High School class of 1956. Rose was a stay at home mother before working outside the home as an Administrative Assistant at NCR World Headquarters (1978-1994) and LexisNexis Corporation (1995-1999) She was a woman of faith and a parishioner at St Henry's Catholic Church in Dayton and Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Miamisburg.


Rose was really the hostest with the mostest. She didn't know a stranger and accumulated life-long friendships from childhood, her high school years, her neighbors and her co-workers. She was a loving wife, caring mother/grandmother/great-grandmother. She was also a fantastic cook who thoroughly enjoyed preparing many fabulous dishes from memory using her unique cooking style. Rose was an avid reader, loved to sing and dance, liked to travel and meet people, enjoyed playing competitive cards and attending gatherings with family and friends.


Rose is preceded in death by her parents along with siblings (Angelo "Sonny" Lombardo Jr, Elizabeth "Sissy" Phipps, Salvatore "Salvy" Lombardo) and her eldest daughter (Victoria "Vicki" Lynn Snedden). She is survived by her devoted husband David Neal Wildermuth, her sons David (Cindy) Wildermuth, Ducaine "Duke" (Mary) Wildermuth and daughter MaDonna (Joel) Belvo, her grandchildren Stacey (Dave) Ristaino, Kenneth (Allison) Wildermuth, Andrew (Chelsea) Wildermuth, Lindsey (Jerred) Hicks, Robert (Kelly) Wildermuth, Jon (Elizabeth) Belvo, Mady Belvo, Michael Wildermuth, her step-grandchildren Ethan (Courtney) Grob, Luke Gurekovich, Simon Gurekovich, Samuel Gurekovich, and her great grandchildren Gia Ristaino, Hazel Wildermuth, James Wildermuth, Charles Wildermuth, and step great grandchildren August and Campbell Grob.


Memorial Services for Rose will be held on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at Routsong Funeral home in Centerville (81 N Main Street). Viewing/Visitation will be 10am-12pm, funeral service beginning at 12pm, and she will be laid to rest at Centerville Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of Dayton.
