age 87, a life-long resident of the Dayton area, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at Heartland of Kettering. He retired from NCR as a toolmaker and process engineer. Donald was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he was an usher, Kettering Suburban Seniors, an avid bridge player and director, and a volunteer for 25 years at Kettering Medical Center. He was also a 65 year Mason, past Master and charter member of John Cissna Lodge #744, a member of Tau Chapter #239, Reese Council #9, Dayton Commandery, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine and Arabic Club. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth (Cissna) MacBain; son, John Alan MacBain, and his wife, Rita (Wyss) of Carmel IN; grandchildren, Carolyn, Julie, Marie and Hillary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, in Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd., Kettering, with Dr. Allen L. Puffenberger officiating. Visitation will be in the church one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children,1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington KY 40502. Arrangements by Routsong Funeral Home.
