PERRY, Adele B., age 67, passed away Wednesday August 13, 2014. She was a graduate of Oakwood High School in 1965. She attended American University in Washington, DC for two years, studied abroad her Junior year in Grenoble France, finishing her degree at the University of Dayton. Her work took her to both coasts before calling Ohio her home. She was Human Resources Manager for CareSource and retired after 5 1/2 years of service.
Adele was a deacon at The Brick Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, New York. She was an avid traveler which took her all over the world. This shaped her lifelong appreciation of the Arts and devotion to the humane society. She enjoyed her garden, reading and was a crossword fiend - always finishing the NY Times puzzle before noon.
Preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Chester Buckland. She is survived by her loving girls Lucy and Angel; two sisters, Susan Thorne and Sally Wakefield (Richard); two nephews, Chris and Tim; three great nephews, Matthew, Michael and Austin; two great nieces, Hannah and Aubrey. Adele loved life and lived it to the fullest. This is represented by the myriad of wonderful friends she met along her journey. Private services to be held for family and friends at a later date. The family would like to thank the team at Dayton Physicians (Kettering) and Hospice of Dayton for their wonderful care and support. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Free to Breathe, American Cancer Society or Hospice of Dayton.
