SEITZ, Albert C., age 93, formerly of Kettering passed away November 26, 2005 at Heartland of Centerville. Preceded in death on December 22, 1999 by Ethel Williams Seitz, his beloved wife of 62 years. Survived by two sons, Thomas A. and wife Sue of Centerville, OH and David A. and wife Maria of Sebring, FL; four grandchildren, Karen Seitz and Mark Seitz of Dayton, John Seitz and his wife Kelley of Tampa, FL and Christina Calderon of St. Ann, MO; one step-grandson, Michael Leesman of Centerville; one great –granddaughter, Cassidy Calderon, and one great-grandson, Jordan Calderon of St. Ann, MO. Preceded in death by his brother Frederick and his wife Dee of Cincinnati and by his sister Edith Craig and her husband Harold of Sanibel Isle, FL. In 1946 he was co-founder of Seitz and George Office Equipment Company from which he retired in 1977. He was a member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church where he served on the Board of Elders, Board of Trustees, and Building Committee. He was a graduate of Western Hills High School in Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and of Dayton Lodge 147 F & AM and the Grand Lodge of Ohio, Antioch Temple, and Arabic Club. He was a past president of the following organizations; Dayton Retail Merchants Association, Globe Wernicke Dealer Marketing Board, Optimist Club of Dayton, Comus Club of Dayton, Fairmont High School Boosters Association, Dayton Chapter University of Cincinnati Alumni Association, and Spring Run Trout Club. He was on the board of the Dayton Better Business Bureau and was a charter member the Dayton Racquet Club and the Trails End Club. He was a member of the Moorings Country Club in Naples, FL. He served five years in WWII and was in the Pacific Theater of Operations for two years. He was a Lt. Col. as anti-aircraft officer on the general’s staff of Eighth Army Headquarters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at the Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills Avenue, Kettering, OH with Dr. Robert H. Wade officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service at the church. Burial immediately following the service at David’s Cemetery in Kettering. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 107 E. First Street, Dayton, OH 45402, Fairmont Presbyterian Church Library Fund or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements made by Routsong Funeral Home.
