Albert V. Barbadora

BARBADORA, Albert V. "Al", age 87, of Kettering, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. Al was born in Winchendon, MA on December 11, 1929 to the late Luigi and Maria (Bartolucci) Barbadora. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Al graduated from the University of Massachusetts. He retired from the Avionics lab at WPAFB after 35 years. Al was a long time member of Ascension Catholic Church, a charter member of St. Luke's, a board member and member of Hollinger Tennis Club, and a founding member of Wright Patterson Air Force Base Tennis Club. He loved cooking Italian dishes and spending time with his family whom he cherished the most. Al was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Clara Farquhar. He is survived by his loving wife, Char Ann, of 63 years; his children, Diane (Bruce) Jacoby, Karen (Brian) Davis, Allan (Eileen) Barbadora, Linda (Steve) Berberich, and Steve (Kathy) Barbadora; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends from 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday April 7, 2017 at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering. Private burial in Valley View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420, the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517, or Dayton Right to Life, 425 N Findlay St, Dayton, OH 45404.
