Aletha Louise Sortman

SORTMAN, Aletha "Louise", age 82, of Washington Twp., passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010. She was born and raised in Cincinnati. After marriage she and her husband, Don, lived in the Dayton area. Louise was a current member of Fountain Gate House Church and previously attended Centerville Community Church and Normandy United Methodist Church. Years ago, she was active in the Child Evangelism Fellowship, various women's groups and choirs. Louise is preceded in death by her husband Donald Sortman; son Matthew Sortman; parents, Rollie Alcorn and Ida Alcorn Jung; son-in-law, Dave Barcus. She is survived by children Linda Paseka, Connie (Don) Frederick, Doug (Jill) Sortman, Dan (Deborah) Sortman, Chris Barcus and Janet (Tom) Shultz; twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; step-brother Nick Jung; and step-sister Eleanor Hayes; and six Rotary exchange students. Louise was an only child but has numerous brothers, sisters and children in the Lord. She was a vibrant prayer warrior and a loving friend and neighbor to everyone she met. Louise and her husband Don had perfect livesnot because they were perfect people but in all of their troubles they always turned to the Lord Jesus Christ. This is their legacy. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010 from, 5:00-7:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering OH. Funeral services will be Friday, May 14th at 11:00AM also at Routsong Funeral Home. Interment will be at David's Cemetery.
