Alex Gal

GAL, Alex, age 88, of Carlisle, OH, formerly of Gary IN, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006 . Alex was a member and very active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Gary, IN where he served in many roles and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Centerville, OH. He worked at US Steel Mill in Gary, IN for 42 years and also operated a painting business for more than 50 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII serving in the Medical Corps and received the Bronze Star. Alex was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary who died in February 2006, brother, George and sister, Mary. He is survived by his children, Dennis (Mary) Gal, Becky (Carl) Manning, Jeff (Jackie) Gal, Melissa (Tim) Hackney and Christina (Randy) Lawrence; 13 grandchildren; brother, Troyan Gal and 2 sisters, Irene Inman and Elaine Radeff. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 22, 2006 at 3:00 PM, at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Pastor Winton Baldwin officiating. There will be a private burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
