Alvin James Wyrick, Sr.

WYRICK, Alvin, 88 of Columbia, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Tug Valley Appalachian Regional Medical Center. Alvin was born on October 21, 1929, in St. Petersburg, FL, the son of the late Ralph Phillip and Ida Ava Stephens Wyrick. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Marian Jeannine McCambell, Ralph Phillip Wyrick Jr., and Blanche Maxine Wyrick. Alvin worked for many years as an electrical engineer. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Beth" Wunder Wyrick of Columbia, MD; his daughter, Angie (Danny) Salyers of Belfry, KY; his son, Alvin James (Theresa) Wyrick Jr. of Knoxville, TN; his sister, Deborah Lynne Wyrick of Salt Lake City, UT; his brother, Stephen Farlin (Diane) Wyrick of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Phillip Daniel Wyrick and Courtney Diane (Dustin) McCollister; his great-grandchildren, Natheniell Wyrick, Emme McCollister, Kaeson McCollister, and Kadi Sumner. Along with his Wunder family in Kettering, OH and a host of friends in Columbia, MD. Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, June 1 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E.
