KILLEN, Amber A., (nee Heintzelman) age 88, of Centerville passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Bethany Lutheran Village. Amber received her degree in Fine Arts from the Ohio State University in 1937. Following graduation, she worked at DPL to introduce electric range cooking to rural areas. Among her many talents were her musical abilities, gardening, tailoring, entertaining, art and homemaking. Amber was an officer in the Dayton Music Club and volunteered at Kettering Medical Center for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Killen, May 7, 2002. Amber is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen (Richard) Currence of Centerville and Constance (Charles) Smith of Little Rock, AR; two sons, Timothy (Lois) Killen of Orinda, CA and Calvin (Nancy) Killen of Philadelphia, PA; along with 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2005 from 10-11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Private family funeral services. Burial in Centerville Cemetery.
