DeBERNARDI, Anastasia Nicholas "Ann", age 74, of Centerville, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014. She graduated in 1961 from the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing embarking on a professional career as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and a loyal member of the Daughters of Penelope.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Bablenis. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Anthony and sisters, Julia Papadoulias, Katherine Louth, Dorothy Tsatsos, and Constance Georgeadys, daughters, Andrea (Brian) Lapp and Melissa DeBernardi (Kenya Smith), and devoted Yia Yia of Tanner and Megan Lapp, and Kai Smith with whom she proudly shared her Greek traditions.
The family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main Street, Centerville with Trisagion Prayers at 5:00. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park N., Dayton, OH 45405 with Rev. Fr. Mark Emroll officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
