Andre J. Bursey

BURSEY, Andre J., age 53, of Beavercreek surrounded by love near and far, gained his heavenly wings on Monday, June 8, 2015. He was born on December 23, 1961 in Columbus, GA. Andre graduated from Homer High School in Louisiana and attended Grambling State University. His adventurous spirit and wanderlust drove him to a field in aviation where he gained his earthly wings with Northwest/Delta Airlines. Andre's compassion, empathy, hard work and dedication of service to others made him a much loved friend and co-worker. The lasting impact he made on those blessed to be his friend, even those he only met briefly will be remembered and honored always. He loved spending time with his family, listening to music and martial arts. He is preceded in death by his beloved dog, Buddy. Andre is survived by his devoted wife, Stacy Bursey; mother, Doris Flemming; children, Andre Jr. and Alexiana Bursey; step-daughter, Leslie Harrison; grandson, Adrian Harrison; his ex-wife, Anita M. Bursey; and his faithful puppy companion, Batman Buster Bursey. A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering with family greeting friends until 8:00pm.
