SIMMS, Agnes Louise, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Crestview Care Facility in Beavercreek, Ohio where she had resided for the past five years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie (Wardrop) and Edward Simms, and sister Betty J. Dilg (William Dilg, Jr.). She is survived by her nieces Beverly Igleburger (Gary) Dayton, Ohio, Janice Dilg (Frank Cunningham) Portland, Oregon, nephew Mark Dilg of Dixon, New Mexico, grandniece Erin Stamper, Washington, D.C., grandnephews Tucker Cunningham, Truckee, California, and Casey Dilg, Portland, Oregon. She was an employee of Dayton Tire and Rubber for over thirty years and served on the Board of Directors of the Freedom First Credit Union. Over the years she stayed connected with friends and former coworkers through the DTR. Agnes was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, a long-time member of the Rosie Reds, and enjoyed traveling with close friends, photography, golfing, and nature. Throughout her life she supported the Audubon Society and Native American educational funds. She was a current member of Christ United Methodist Church, Kettering Ohio. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:00AM at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery - Abby Mausoleum, 8135 North Dixie Drive. Family and friends are welcome at the home of Beverly and Gary Igleburger, 415 Hathaway Road, following the service.
