Ann Thomas Stathes

STATHES, Ann Thomas, age 87, of Kettering passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Heartland of Centerville. She was born on October 28, 1923 in Richmond, IN. to the late Nick and Nora Thomas. The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her family, especially her late husband, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her devoted husband of 63 years, Paul Gus Stathes; sisters, Mary Creona and Marie Raptes; and brother, Adam Thomas. Ann is survived by her loving children, daughter, Christine (Larry) Couchot, and son, Deno (LaVonna) Stathes; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Justin) Stekli, Michael Callahan, and Nicholas Stathes; and great-granddaughter, Kayden Stekli. She is also survived by her sister, Christine Sullivan; sisters-in-law, Julia Zavakos and Anna Stathes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and enjoyed her retirement years from Rike’s after working as a bookkeeper for 25 years. The family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 with Trisagion Prayers at 6:00pm at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North, Dayton, OH 45405 with Father Mark Emroll officiating.
