Anna M. Sperling Klepper

KLEPPER, Anna M. Sperling, age 98, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. She was born in Springfield, OH on May 18, 1915 to the late Fred and Anna Sperling. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1933. Anna attended Miami University where she earned her BA in 1959 and her MA in Education in 1964. She taught English and German at Centerville High School for 16 years. Anna enjoyed traveling, swimming, gardening, golf, ice skating, tennis, and bowling. She was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1993, Winfield Klepper, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 1 granddaughter, and 2 son-in-laws. Anna was survived by her children, Marian (Ralph) Kettering, Ellen Neumaier, David G. Klepper, Nancy Kilgore, and John R. & Marilyn Klepper; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering with a funeral service following at 11:00am. Burial will be held in David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 or to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton OH 45417.
