DUNN Anne-Marie died peacefully on November 5, 2007 at her home in Kettering, Ohio with her husband and family by her side after living with Hodgkins Disease for 6 years. The daughter of Joseph and Suzanne Dunn, Anne Marie was born March 29, 1960 in Hartford, Connecticut. From early childhood and throughout her life, Anne-Marie was a force of nature utilizing her exceptional intellect and passion to know as much as possible about every person and every situation she encountered. Survivors include her husband Art Williams, son Patrick Dunn, parents Joseph and Suzanne Dunn of Kettering, Ohio; sister Mary Jane Pioli (Dave) of Seattle; brother Michael Dunn (Julie) of Indianapolis; brother Tom Dunn (Amy) of Kettering; nieces and nephews Sienna and Isabella Pioli; Gabrielle and Monica Dunn; Erika, Kirsten, Sullivan and Ciera Dunn and Leah and Brook Travis. Anne-Marie graduated from The Ohio State University in 1983 with a BA degree in Journalism. After graduation, Anne-Marie began a varied career that always focused on obtaining, disseminating and utilizing information. Her first job after college was as a reporter for the Wilmington News-Journal. She moved on to positions in public relations, marketing and internet/web technology with Dayton-based firms including The Hooper Group, Reynolds and Reynolds and Relizon. Anne-Marie continued to use her organizational and leadership skills while living with her disease. She put together family trips to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Cape Cod, San Francisco, Connecticut and Nashville. She was a courageous person who had a great talent for bringing family and friends together. In addition to her career, Anne-Marie volunteered her time and talents with organizations such as the Girl Scouts, Public Relations Society of America and the Arthritis Foundation. The past 6 years, Anne-Marie also was a champion advocate and resource for countless cancer survivors and patients via online forums. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to two exceptional entities: The Hope Lodge of Cleveland, 11432 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland, OH 44106 and Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Both of these organizations compassionately supported Anne-Marie and her family during her illness. A celebration of Anne-Marie’s life will be held Monday, November 19, 2007 from 11:00-1:00 PM at the Dayton Art Institute, Gothic Cloister. Program will begin at 11:45 AM.
