STAIOS, Anthe age 85, of Cincinnati, OH (formerly of Dayton) passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Bethesda North Hospital. A loving mother and grandmother, faithful parishioner at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Dayton and Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati, and friend to many, she will be dearly missed. Anthe retired from Blue Bird Pie Company after 28 years of service. Anthe is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Petros Staios; 5 daughters & sons-in-law: Gloria & Greg Borod of Loveland, Katina Staios of Dayton, Bess & Mark Slade of Englewood, Olga Staios of Cincinnati, and Eleni & Chris Ferraro of Mason; brother & sister-in-law Nikos and Katerina Bardos of Argos Orestikon, Greece, and their children Ahilleas, Koula, 7 grandchildren and their spouses: Julie & Robert Brausch, Jennifer & Scott Mathews, Jeffrey Borod, Natalie & Chad Armentrout, Nicole & Ryan Eatough, Athena Ferraro, & Alexander Ferraro; and 5 great-grandchildren. Anthe was preceded in death by her parents, Ahilleas and Vasiliki Bardos of Greece. In Anthe’s memory, her family would like to acknowledge the loving support and special friendship of the Carl Garnett family of Oxford, OH. Visitation services will be held on Sunday, August 27th at Routsong Funeral Home (81 N. Main, Centerville, OH) from 3-6 p.m. with Trisagion Prayers at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 28th at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (500 Belmonte Park North, Dayton, OH).
