Anthony Digiorgio

DIGIORGIO, Anthony Joseph, "Tony", age 59, formerly of Washington Township passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016. He was a graduate of Alter High School in 1975 and attended the University of Dayton. Tony was a realtor/broker for the past 25 years and was a member of the Dayton Area Board of Realtors. In recent years Tony found great joy in property management and loved working with his hands to refurbish houses. Tony was a Corvette enthusiast and spent many years attending car shows around the country. He earned the Bloomington Gold Award for his restored 1967 Lyndale blue big block Corvette; the highest honor of achievement. Tony had a great love for Springer Spaniels and enjoyed them as pets for many years. He had a strong connection to the Miamisburg community where he lived as a child, had his first paper route, his job at the Dairy Queen, and friends whom he still knows today. He had a generous heart; treasuring their journey from infants to college. He was so proud of all they had accomplished thus far. Tony is preceded in death by his mother Catherine DiGiorgio (O'Connor). He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Susan (Dennler); son, Michael Anthony DiGiorgio and daughter, Sarah Kathryne DiGiorgio, his father, Tony DiGiorgio, Sr., siblings; Cathy DiGiorgio, Jim DiGiorgio(Dallas), Teresa DiGiorgio, and Dino DiGiorgio(Pittsburgh) and a host of dedicated cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, Ohio. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at The Church of Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Dayton, OH 45459. The family would like to express their gratitude for Tony's excellent care at Kettering Hospital ICU earlier this August and the wonderful folks at Dodd Hall Rehabilitation Hospital who offered him much healing. Thank you to the many friends who visited Tony and those who supported Susan, Sarah, and Michael.
