DiNofa, Anthony J. “Tony”, age 56, of Washington Twp., passed away Thursday, September 2, 2004. Tony was born May 12, 1948, in Providence, Rhode Island. He received his BA degree from Capital University. Tony served as Air Police in the Air Force during Korea and Vietnam. He also worked for Elder Beerman, Miami Valley Regional Transit Authority formerly known as City Transit for 17 years and Metropolitan Life. Tony worked for DCMA Defense Contracting Management Agency since 1989. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran (DAV), National Management Contract Association and Air Force Security Police Association. Preceded in death by his father, Ernest R. Marotta Jr. and uncle, Rocco DiNofa. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary E. DiNofa; son, Michael Anthony (Debra) DiNofa; four grandchildren, Alexandrea L. DiNofa, Joshua C. Lannom, Anthony Michael Cole DiNofa and Logan Michael DiNofa; mother, Martha M. Marotta of Providence, RI; mother-in-law, Gertrude M. Watson; brother, Ernest R. Marotta III of Providence, RI; sister, Patricia DiNofa; two uncles, Americo (Gloria) DiNofa of Waynesville, NC and Dominic (Jane) DiNofa of Las Vegas, NV and other numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday at St. Leonard’s Chapel, 8100 Clyo Rd., Centerville with Pastor Robert Bishop officiating. Burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Linden Education and Arts Program, c/o: Shelley Outlaw 2205 Briggs Rd. Centerville, OH 45459.
