Anthony P. Maruca Jr.

MARUCA JR., Anthony P., age 81, of Dayton passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011. Anthony was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. He retired from Good Samaritan Hospital where he worked as a surgical technician. Anthony loved to cook, bake and care for his garden. He was a long time member of Our Lady of Mercy and attended Immaculate Conception. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, and grandson. Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sarah (Sally); sons, Anthony P. (Linda) Maruca III of Springfield, OH and Mark (Terri) Maruca of Union, OH; daughter, Sarah (John) Stoddard of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Mark Maruca (Rose), Ian Stoddard (Elizabeth), Stephanie Debolt, Devin Stoddard, and Morgan Stoddard; five great-grandchildren and two more on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends from 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 Smithville Road, Dayton, OH 45420. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
