Arthur Cleve Hudson

HUDSON, Arthur "Art" Cleve, age 69, of Kettering passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012. He was a loving father, devoted husband, dedicated Christian with a strong faith in God. Art was a kind, generous, highly intelligent, and fun-loving man. His interests were astronomy and genealogy. Art enjoyed his retirement time, spending it with friends and family and volunteering numerous hours at the Dayton Art Institute and his church, Oak Creek United Church of Christ, where he was facility chairman, and an occasional table leader of the Emmaus Walk. He retired from the Department of Defense where he was an electrical engineer. Art attended Indiana University, graduated from Purdue University and served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Josie Hudson. He is survived by his wife, Judy Hudson; daughter, Kimberly Hudson; sister, Karen Mason; brothers, Mitch (Joyce) Hudson, and David Hudson; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cat, Dewey. The family will receive friends from 10:00am12:00pm on Saturday, September 29 at Oak Creek United Church of Christ, 5280 Bigger Rd., Kettering. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Creek United Church of Christ, 5280 Bigger Rd., Kettering, OH 45440 or to The Dayton Art Institute, 456 Belmonte Park North Dayton, OH 45405.
