Barbara Ann Hobbs

HOBBS, Barbara Ann (Frankenfeld), nee Weaver, passed into God's hands on Tuesday morning on March 25, 2014. She was preceded into death by her husband of ten years, Donald G. Hobbs, her brother, Jon Weaver, mother, Elvera Bernice Fortney and father, Clarence R. Weaver. She is survived by her daughters and grandchildren, Susan (Len) Davidson and their children Luke and Jacob, Sandra (Mike) Meistrell, Lynne Whitaker and her children Ellie and Reiss, and Lisa (Ron) Newman and her children Cameron and Benjamin, and former husband, George A. Frankenfeld. Barbara attended the University of Cincinnati and The Ohio State University and loved watching the Buckeyes and the Reds. She graduated from Sinclair Community College with an Associate's degree in Paralegal Assisting. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kettering for nearly fifty years, a member of the Kettering Show Choir, and the Red Hat Club. She coached girls soccer and served joyfully on many benevolent committees. A visitation will be held from 10am-12pm, with a 12pm service to follow, on Friday, March 28th funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 901 E. Stroop Rd., Dayton, OH 45429. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 or to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
