Barbara Ann Leese

LEESE, Barbara Lawrence, age 82, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, peacefully at her home. She was born in Columbus, OH on January 24, 1935, the daughter of Horace and Ruthetta (Lehman) Lawrence. Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence Leese; daughter, Linda Turner; son, Lawrence Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Steven Turner, Jessica Turner, Alex Leese, and Jeremy McConnell; and 3 sisters, Linda Corlett, Jill Rapp, and Louetta Hunt. She was a graduate of Oakwood High School, class of 1953 and the University of Dayton, class of 1960. Barbara was a learning disabilities teacher in Beavercreek. She travelled extensively, visiting over 20 countries. Barbara was also a hiker, doing 10K walks in every state. She also loved to compete at bridge, becoming a life master. The family invites you to join them on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at Kramer's Bar on Irving Avenue to celebrate Barbara's life. There will be no formal Memorial Service per the request of the family. Refreshments will be provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to the American Heart Association, 1313 W. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, OH 45409 or to any charity of your choice.
