Barbara Jean Aufderheide

AUFDERHEIDE, Barbara Jean, age 75, of Dayton, OH, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

Barb was born in Kettering to John and Della Hudson on November 16, 1948. She grew up in the greater Dayton area, attending Fairmont East High School and graduating from Miamisburg High School in 1966.

Barb worked in healthcare for many years and had a reputation amongst her coworkers as being very knowledgeable and well-respected. She was an animal-lover her whole life, caring for many beloved pets since her girlhood. Known as straightforward and honest to friends and family, Barb enjoyed hosting company in her home, especially around the holidays. She was a warm and inviting person, who cherished her family deeply. A devoted wife and caring mother, she never let a day go by without letting her children know how much they were loved. Her presence in their lives will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Barb’s memory is her loving husband of 55 years, Stephen Aufderheide; son, Ryan; daughter, Jennifer; and grandsons, Jordan and Beckett.

A private gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Humane Society of Greater Dayton in honor of Barb.
