Barbara Jean Gunther

GUNTHER, Barbara Jean, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Barbara was born to the late William B. and Frances (nee Gabbert) Denton on December 23, 1935 in Columbia, KY. She graduated from Fairborn H.S. in 1954 and The Ohio State University in 1958. Barbara and her husband, James owned and operated The Gunther Physical Therapy and Rehab Agency at 60 Wyoming St. She enjoyed the Victorian era, tending to her garden and enjoying life. Barbara was loving, caring, positive and most of all loved her family deeply. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William R. Denton and her husband of 42 years, James. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Steve) Mullinix of Vandalia, OH; step-grandchildren, Stefanie and Micah Mullinix; sister-in-law, Gloria Jean Denton of Oak Brook, IL and Lorraine Bergles of Publo, CO as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will greet family and friends from 12:00pm-1:00pm on July 16, 2016 at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 118 Woodland Ave. Dayton, OH with a funeral service to follow beginning at 1:00pm. Entombment at Woodland Mausoleum. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Tom Thornton and his staff at Miami Valley Hospital for their excellent care of Barbara.
