Barry Scott Galen

GALEN, Barry S., 58, of Kettering, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Barry was born July 8, 1959 in Port Jefferson, NY to the late Barry and Barbara (Edelstein) Galen. He graduated with his Bachelors in Criminal Justice at the University of Dayton, and completed his law degree at Touro College on Long Island. Barry practiced law for 30 years, serving a diverse community in Dayton. He was an active member and 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, a faithful member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and UD basketball, and loved to golf and play poker. Barry is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Karen Galen; sons, Garrett, Ryan, and Connor Galen; daughter, Rachel Galen; brother, Stephen Galen; sisters, Eileen Pattison and Judy Galen; uncle, Roger Elston; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, 45429. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 12, 2018 at 12:00pm at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 104 W. Dorothy Ln. Kettering, 45429. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery.
