Benjamin F. Schnier, Jr.

SCHNIER, Benjamin Francis, Jr. passed away Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born 1931 to Benjamin and Theresa (Berg) in New York City. Benjamin served in the US Navy for 4 years. While stationed near Boston he met his beloved wife, Martha Keane and they married in 1954.They had three children, Scott, John and Kathryn and raised them in Whitestone, NY. Benjamin worked for The New York Telephone Company (now known as Verizon) for 32 years. Benjamin and Martha retired to Toms River, New Jersey and enjoyed their retirement doing what they loved best, traveling on cruises including the Queen Mary.

Benjamin is predeceased by his wife Martha.

He is survived by his children; Scott, his wife Nancy, John, his wife Ines and Kathryn and her husband Jeffrey and five grandchildren, Benjamin (Heather), Jason (Tim), Meghan (Timothy), John Jr., Daniel and two great grandchildren, Jeremy and Eleanor. He is also survived by a brother James Schnier and sister Carol Behringer as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family will greet friends Wednesday, February 26 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with military honors rendered at 4:30pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 27 at 3:30pm at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 5220 Far Hills Ave.
