Bernice E. Simpson

SIMPSON, Bernice E., age 97, of Celina, OH passed away Saturday, December 01, 2012. Bernice was a 1934 Stivers High School graduate who retired from General Motors after 20 years of service. She loved travelling and telling jokes. Preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Ellen Evans; husband, Patrick H. Strong; sons, Charles and Michael Simpson; daughter, Elizabeth Strong; brothers, Charles and Howard; and sisters, Maude, Norma, Blowin, and Ottie. Bernice is survived by her sons, William (Naomi) Simpson and Richard Simpson, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends from 5-7 PM on Tue. Dec. 4 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, Wed., Dec. 5, also at the funeral home. Burial in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
