Bernice M. Behler

BEHLER, Bernice M., nee McElfresh, age 94, of Dayton, OH, passed away in Kettering, OH Sunday, July 22, 2018. Graduated high school in Dresden, OH, studied business skills post high school in Columbus, OH then moved to Dayton and went to work for Variety Aircraft. Bernice belonged to Westminster Presbyterian Church and various other groups and activities. When she married, she enjoyed home-making, being a wife and mother. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Perry Herman McElfresh and Elsie Szirbek McElfresh; husband, William K. Behler, Jr.; sister, Jane McElfresh Kinney, brothers Perry R. McElfresh and Thomas E. McElfresh. Bernice is survived by daughter Christine L. Doherty and son-in-law Robert Doherty of Plano, TX, and grand-daughter Nicole Doherty of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by son, Philip K. Behler of Dayton, OH; brother, Sidney (& Iris) McElfresh of Kettering, OH; sister; Marilyn Hellwarth of Celina, OH along with many nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends for a time of visitation 10:00am-11:00am, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am, Rev. Denise Weaver officiating. Burial at Woodland Cemetery. A special thank you to Lincoln Park Manor Nursing Home for the care given to Bernice.
