Bessie Polites

POLITES, Bessie A. (nee Afendoules) age 90, of Dayton, OH passed away Thursday, November 24, 2004 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home. Bessie was a lifetime member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Harvest Chapter # 564 OES, Philoptohos and a past member of the Daughters of Penelope. Bessie was in sales for over 10 years with Rike-Kumler and an Avon Representative for over 40 years and known as “The Avon Lady”. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Polites in 1987. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John (Margie) Polites of Clearcreek Twp.; 2 grandsons, Michael of IN and Steven of CO; beloved sister-in-law, Georgia Afendoules of CA; many nieces and nephews and her precious cat, Janabet. The family would like to especially thank all her church friends for their continuing love and concern. Funeral services will be held Monday, 10:00 AM, November 28, 2005 at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North, Dayton with Father Mark Emroll officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday from 4 from to 7:00 PM with Trisagion Prayers at 6:00 PM and OES services at 6:30 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E.
