Betty Jane Clark

CLARK, Betty Jane, age 88, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Beavercreek, OH. She was born Betty Jane Thompson on March 26, 1924 in Parkersburg, WV. Betty attended Mountain State Business College in her hometown of Parkersburg. She married F.E. Clark in August 17 , 1946, and they moved to Washington Court House in 1966. Together they had one daughter, India (nee Clark) Pugel, who was born in 1954. Betty and F.E. enjoyed horses and raised many beautiful standardbreds that would become champion harness racers throughout the Midwest. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claudia Mae and Giles Thompson; husband, F. E. Clark; and son-in-law, Robert A. Pugel. Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, India (Clark) Pugel; brother, Giles M. Thompson of Vienna, WV; and special family, Anthony and Mindy Mootispaw. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Services will be private.
