Betty (Kessler) Durig

DURIG, Betty (Kessler), 87 of Centerville, passed away peacefully on Feb 16, 2008. She was born in Dayton on December 18, 1920. She was preceded in death by Edward, her husband of 63 years. She is survived by her children; Edward L. (Patty), Daniel (Rosanne), Ted (Kathy), Kim Durig and Dianne (Michael) Schamp. Her surviving grandchildren are Dennis (Chris) Durig, Denise (Jay) Jepsen, Dana (Jim) Phelps, Jason (Tara), Kasey, and Ashley Durig; greatgrandchildren; Evan and Lauren Phelps, Michael, Anna, and Lily Durig, sister-in-law; Hilda Durig, nieces and nephews; Merrill and Martin (Teresa) Durig and Marian (Dick) Bauer. After raising her children, she enjoyed a career with the Centerville Schools Transportation Department. She retired to care for her husband in 1983 until his death in 2000. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will always be remembered with love and admiration by all who had the privilege to know her. A visitation will be held at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville on Wednesday from 10-11:00AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM also at the funeral home.
