Beverly Harrell

HARRELL, Beverly, age 89, passed away on July 5, 2023. Beverly Harrell, 89, beloved Wife, Daughter, Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on July 5, 2023. She entered this world on December 8, 1933 in Dayton, OH.

She was preceded in death by Clarence Blotner (Father), Dorothy Blotner (Mother), Jackie Dodge (Sister) and Stephen Dodge (Brother-in-law). She is survived by her husband William Harrell; daughter Dawn Kalbfleisch (Mike Kalbfleisch); son Mark Harrell(Christy Harrell); granddaughter Heather Kalbfleisch (Darrell Drew); granddaughter Brittany Downey Kalbfleisch (Caleb Downey Kalbfleisch); grandson Steven Harrell; grandson Matthew Harrell; great-grandson Liam Belcher; great-grandson Elias Kalbfleisch; great-granddaughter Octavia Drew; great-granddaughter Victoria Drew; great-grandson James Drew.

Beverly married William Harrell of Kettering, Ohio August 17, 1957 at First Baptist Church of Dayton. She is a 1952 graduate of Fairview High School. She obtained a Bachelors of Education from Miami University in 1956 and taught school for 25 years. Most of her career was spent in the Centerville, Ohio School district teaching Kindergarten. While there, she received a commendation for Teaching Excellence by Grade Teacher Magazine. Beverly loved her church, First Baptist of Dayton, and spent many hours with the Christian Education Department designing Vacation Bible School programs. She also spent many hours decorating the church for Christian Holidays. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling with friends and family throughout the United States and overseas. She loved her family with all her heart and was so thrilled when the grandchildren and great grandchildren arrived. She had a special gift of sending notes and cards to family and friends.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Buckeye Home Health while she lived at One Lincoln Park. And a special thank you to the staff at Carlyle House.

Family will greet friends 11AM-1PM on Tuesday, July 11 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E Stroop Rd, Kettering. Memorial Services will be immediately following (1:00PM) at the funeral home.
