Billy James Alexander

ALEXANDER, Billy J., age 83 of Miami Twp., passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He served his country during WWII in the United States Army Air Corps. Billy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering, where he served as a Deacon and on various committees. Billy worked as a carpenter and was the owner and operator of BJ Alexander & Sons Construction Company for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Dorothy Alexander and son, Doug Alexander. Billy is survived by his 2nd wife of 3 years, Geraldine Alexander; son Steve Alexander; step-daughters, Carolyn Bailey and Janet Spradling; grandchildren, Scot, Mark, Stephen and John Alexander and Lisa Griffith; step-granddaughters, Charlotte Hutter and Stephanie Terrill and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held, Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Castine Cemetery, Castine, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Kettering Building Fund, 3939 Swigart Rd, Dayton, OH 45440.
