Brian Newland Tucker

TUCKER, Brian Newland, age 30, of Kettering passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, February 6, 2009. He attended Bethany Church of Christ and was a graduate of Waynesville High School. Brian attended Kentucky Christian College and Wright State University where he studied psychology. He worked in Administration at Kettering Medical Center. Brian played peewee football, gave his first sermon at age 14 and enjoyed fishing with his grandfather. He was an avid video gamer and loved Siesta Key, FL. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herb and Mary Newland and paternal grandfather, Roy Tucker. He is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Sara Tucker (Thomas); children, Abigale and Jack Tucker; grandmother, Lois Jean Tucker; parents, Larry K. and Patricia Tucker; sister, Elizabeth Jean (Jeff) Graves; niece and nephew, Allison and Justin Graves; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Sandy Thomas; brothers-in-law, Jeff and Chad Thomas; aunts and uncles, Linda and Fred Lacy, Marilyn and Tim Whitehead, Mike and Elena Newland, Michael and Faye Tucker, Debbie Carver and Jerome Tucker. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Bethany Church of Christ with Pastor Stew Sheckler officiating. Burial in David's Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a fund for his children, Abby and Jack in Brian's memory at National City Bank.
