TRIMBLE, Byron Douglas, aka Byron, Barn, Barnie, sweetheart, peets, dad, papaw, age 87, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on December 29, 2018 after an extended battle with Alzheimers. Byron was born in Barnetts Creek, Kentucky to Daniel Boone and Rosa LeMaster Trimble. He grew up in a very loving home with six siblings, Lucille, Emma Jean, Loretta, William, Betty Rose, Danny B, and Dorthy. Byron graduated from Oil Springs High School. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Yokota Air Force Base in Japan, which was better known as Tama Airfield at the time. After his honorable discharge, Byron earned his Associate Degree in Accounting and worked as an Accountant for Plumbers Supply for many years. He retired from there in 1995. On April 27,1956 he married Geneva Dawson, the love of his life. For 63 years they lovingly and faithfully faced life together. Together they had four sons. And when the sons married he got the daughters he always wanted. His family included: Keith and Karen, Mike and Terry, Kevin Earl (who preceded him in death), and Donald and Stephanie. This gave rise to some special people he loved dearly - his grandchildren. These are Timothy, Ben, Byron, Blake, Chris, Donovan and Dillion. There are four great grans: Emma Kate, Everly, Caitlyn and Elliott. Family is very important to Byron. He enjoyed sitting on the deck with his wife, Friday nights at Aunt Jean’s, watching sons play ball or music - from Tiny Branch, KY to Michigan, if it was about family he was all about it. He enjoyed having all the family home especially at the holidays. Byron loved to travel, but at heart he is a true Kentucky home-boy. Travel always seemed to take him back to Barnetts Creek, Kentucky, which is his favorite place on earth. Byron was a devoted Christian. He faithfully served Christ at Eastmont Free Will Baptist Church for 49 years. He served as Trustee, Treasurer, Clerk, Teacher, Song Leader, Usher and physically helped build the church from ground up. He enjoyed helping others, cutting grass, planting a garden, canning beans, his nieces and nephews, playing ping-pong, pool, basketball, watching Kentucky basketball, playing cards, working a crossword puzzle with Aunt Jean, setting on the deck with his wife, listening to a Cincinnati Reds ballgames and reading his Bible. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 3 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, Ohio.
