FORLENZA, Carl, age 88, of Kettering, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010.
Carl spent his youth in Staten Island, NY. He served our country in WWII in the Army tank battalion and a veteran of Battle of the Bulge. Carl was self employed and owned a candy store and 3 D's Bar. Carl was a witty, funny man whose passion was to play table tennis. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV, playing cards and frequently ended his day with his Seagram's Manhattan cocktail. Carl attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Hithergreen and St. Leonard's Senior Centers.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Ann; second wife Catherine and sons Carl and Richard. Carl is survived by daughter Carol (Jose) Quinones of Kettering; grandchildren Ariana(Sami), Myrna, Robert(Kari), Michael(Ariana), CarlyAnn(Gus), RickieLee(Anthony); four great-grandchildren Felicia, Giada, Jackson and Orion; sister Marie Giuliano of NJ; brother Joseph Forlenza of NY.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 1, 2010 from 4:00-7:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, November 2, at 10:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering. Father Timothy Rolfton officiating.
