Carl Jacob Bruckner

BRUCKNER, Carl J. age 83 of Centerville, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 peacefully at home with the loving care of Hospice of Dayton. He was a graduate of Penn State University and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and has an M.B.A. from University of Pennsylvania. Carl worked for Mobil Oil Corp., in New York for 13 years. He retired from NCR as an administrative manager after 17 years in 1983. Carl also retired as a Colonel in the USAF after 30 years of active and reserve duties. He was a long time member of David’s United Church of Christ, the Antioch Temple, Scottish Rite Choir, Far Hills Masonic Lodge. Carl was a Shriner for over 60 years. He also volunteered at Kettering Hospital and was a member of NCR Country Club. He is survived by his loving wife, Clara of Centerville; and a special cousin, Vera Jane Cornes of PA along with many other cousins. Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, OH with Masonic services being held at 7:30PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at David’s United Church of Christ, 170 W. David Rd., Kettering, OH with Rev. Brian Newcomb officiating.
