BRIDGES, Carl M., age 80, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. He was born in Huron, IN on September 10, 1932 to Fred and Edith Bridges.
Carl was a traditional man with a sense of humor. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a dedicated worker, having worked for B&O railroad as a telegraph operator, and moved up the ladder of responsibilities until he became the Supervisor of Stations. Continuing on with his career he took a position as head of The Peerless Transportation Company.
Carl is preceded in death by his father, Fred Bridges; mother and step-father Edith and David Shanks, and sister, Vivian Reid. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Vivian (nee Asciutto) Bridges; children, Susan (Carl) Back, Cathy (Byron Brown) McCoy, Michael (Marcia) Bridges, and Christopher (Lori) Bridges; grandchildren, Jonathon and Jessica Back, Andrea Kunk, David Bridges, Levi McCoy, Hannah, Hailey and Hamilton Bridges; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Clark's Ferry Cemetery, in Huron, Indiana.
