Carmelita M. Bruce

BRUCE, Carmelita, age 94, of Dayton passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Carmelita was a graduate of Tech High School in Buffalo, New York, class of 1935. She was a philanthropist and a caring friend to all who knew her. Carmelita was known by all as a fun-loving, independent woman who had many hobbies and collectables, including Amish quilts and ceramic Chihuahuas. Preceded in death by husband, Ralph E. Bruce; and son, Marvin D. “Dennie” Bruce. Carmelita is survived by son, Darwin (Aiko) Bruce; daughter-in-law, Gay D. Bruce; granddaughters, Jennifer (Garth) Trent and Becky Bruce; great-grandchildren, Camille “Millie”, Abigail, and Isaac Trent; and beloved Chihuahuas Pixie and Bobbi. Family will greet friends from 10:00am-noon on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 81 N. Main Street, Centerville, OH 45459. A graveside service will be held at 12:30pm following the visitation on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
