APT, Carol Faith Jacobs, age 91, of Centerville, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023. Carol graduated from Stow High School, attended Kent State University, and graduated from The Ohio State University, earning her degree in occupational therapy. In addition to numerous lineage groups, she was a member of Delta Gamma and Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, as well as DAR.
Carol had a passion for genealogy, discovering Peter Bulkley, who founded Concord, Mass. and James Kilbourne, co-founder of Worthington, OH, were ancestors of hers. In her free time, Carol served as a volunteer for Harman School and Wright State Medical School. She was a talented musician, playing the clarinet in the Stow High School and Kent State University marching bands.
Carol is preceded in death by her brother, Ronald and his wife Carolyn. She is survived by sons, Scott and Jerry (Lisa) Apt; daughters, Polly (Robert) Page, and Kelly (Gary) Parisi; grandchildren, Evan, Brendan, Kacie, Austin (Anna), Tyler (Kara), Sidney, and Ben (Daisy); and great-grandson, Ozzy.
Family will greet friends from 1:00pm-3:00pm Thursday, March 16 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Graveside Services at David’s Cemetery to follow. Memorial contributions can be made in Carol’s name to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 33 W. Dixon Ave., Oakwood, OH 45419, or to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton, OH 45417.
