Caroline W. Burnet

BURNET, Caroline, 98, of Centerville, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Heartland of Centerville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Chester. Caroline is survived by her daughter, Jane Varella; grandchildren, Stacey Smith (Mark) of Newport News, VA and Ian Varella (Pam) of San Marcos, TX; great-grandchildren, Katie, Larissa, Alison, Leslie and Christa. She was a teacher with the Centerville Schools for 37 years and also worked as a Centerville telephone operator; at Elder-Johnson's and at the Centerville Mill. She lived her entire life on the land that her ancestors had settled over 200 years ago. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
