Caroline Young Kiefaber

KIEFABER, Caroline Young, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. “Hank” and parents Helen E. and Russell H. Young. She graduated from Oakwood High School and attended Miami University. She was affiliated with Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She worked with her father and uncles at Davies Young Soap Company. After Hank retired they moved to Pinehurst, NC in 1980. She was an active volunteer, a member of a number of boards as well as serving as Vice Chairman for various golf tournaments. She was a member of the Colonial Dames XV11. She is survived by her sister, Jane Y. Thompson and brother-in-law Jack and by her brother Tad Young. She also leaves 10 nieces and nephews and their families. She is further survived by her step-children Harry J. Kiefaber (Beth), Clay H. Kiefaber (Leslie) and Elizabeth Reger (Bruce) as well as their children. A lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
