Catherine Anne Woolery

WOOLERY, Catherine “Susie” A., age 86, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018. Catherine “Susie” was born on January 28, 1932 in Ironwood, MI to the late Charles and Anne (Ellis) Maslowski. She graduated from Ishpeming High School and worked as a middle school secretary for Kiser in the Dayton Public Schools for over 40 years. Catherine “Susie” was a sweet and kind women who enjoyed gardening, singing in the choir, big band music and spending time with her family. She spent many volunteer hours at Bethany Lutheran Village. Catherine “Susie” made everyone she met feel welcomed and loved. She was a long time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where she volunteered on various committees. Catherine “Susie” is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; sister, Diane Smith and brother, James Maslowski. She was survived by her loving children, Jill (Steve) Blauwkamp and Lizabeth (Erick) Grossl; grandchildren, Samantha and Madelyn Grossl and Elle, Ana and Alex Blauwkamp. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Dayton and Brighton Gardens for all the wonderful care they gave to Catherine. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 4, 2019 at David’s Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Rd., Kettering, OH.
