Catherine Josephine Gabriel

Catherine Josephine Gabriel, 93, of Oakwood, died Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Hospice of Dayton. Catherine was born January 25, 1924, in Dayton, Ohio, to William F. and Adele (Kratz) Glynn. She married Wallace Gabriel, who preceded her in death. Catherine worked for Pitney Bowes. She enjoyed gardening. She was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. Her son, Charles William Gabriel, survives her. Mrs. Gabriel is also survived by her three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Paul, William, and Joseph Glynn, and sisters, Adele Hughes, and Louise Espy, as well as her grandson, Shannon Gabriel, have preceded her in death. Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon, on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Avenue, Kettering, Ohio. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
