Charlene Louise Farney

FARNEY, Charlene L., age 85 of Kettering, passed away at rest the morning of Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Charlene loved playing golf and ballroom dancing, and enjoyed sewing and cross-word puzzles. She was a devoted member of the Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 yrs., Harold E. Farney in 1996 and her brother, Charles Benjamin Nicholson. Charlene is survived by her sons, Dr. Timothy Harold (Dr. Lynn) Farney of New Carlisle, and Mark Steven (Linda) Farney of Dayton; daughter, Colleen Ann Farney of Kettering; sister-in-law, Theresa Nicholson of Port Huron, MI; siblings, Leroy (Dolora) Nicholson of Allen, TX, Elizabeth Jane Elsass of Cincinnati, OH, Vernon Dale (Violet) Nicholson of Port Jefferson, OH, Robert Harold Nicholson of Huntington Beach, CA, Thomas Lee (Evelyn) Nicholson of Palm Springs, CA, Ruth Ann (Eugene) Larger of Sidney, OH and Janet Irene Carr of St. Mary, OH; grandchildren, Matthew Philip Farney, Elizabeth Marie (Mike) Maxson and Shannon Marie Farney; great-granddaughter, Darcy Kay Maxson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 4:00-8:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 10 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 S. Smithville Road, Dayton, OH with Fr. Satish A.
