HAWS, Charles (Chuck) Alden, age 77, passed away on March 14, 2012, at the Hospice of Dayton.
Born on March 8, 1935, in Lawrence County, Ohio. Chuck retired from Gateway Trucking after 30 years of service in the transportation industry and was a member of Teamsters Local 957, Moose Lodge #73 (Beavercreek), and Eagles #321 (Beavercreek). He was also an avid golfer, craftsman, and outdoorsman.
Chuck is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Campbell; father Kenneth J. Haws; 1st wife, Doris F. Haws; and brother, Jack R. Haws. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Barbara Haws; sons, Gregory D. (Kelly) Haws and Joel C. (Julie) Haws; grandchildren, Matthew (Laura) Haws, Casey (Rebekah Heemstra) Haws, Emily (Justin) Martin, Sophie Haws, and Stella Haws; sisters, Marcia Nixon, and Donna Hall; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Otto Hohm and numerous uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Family will greet friends following the service until 6PM.
