Charles Chilcoat

CHILCOAT, Charles Park, age 79, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017. He proudly served his country in the Army and Navy for 26 years, retiring from the Army Reserves with the rank of Sergeant Major. Charles also worked for NCR, retiring in 2000. After retirement Charles became a member of American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 9927. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. and H. Lucille (Graber) Chilcoat. He is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Dorothy (Wise) Chilcoat; daughters, Tina (Scott) Stamper, Karla (Rick) Burns; 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth and James Burns; brothers, John (Pickerington, OH) and Floyd (Russellville, AR); sister, Lois Arnold (Alvada, OH); extended family and many friends. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the memorial service on Thursday, June 1 at 1pm, Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. Inurnment at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Salvation Army or Hospice of Dayton.
